Web dashboard troubleshooting
Find the message you’re seeing below. Each one explains why it happens and how to fix it.
“Your account requires a Vetroscope Pro subscription”
Section titled ““Your account requires a Vetroscope Pro subscription””Cause: the dashboard is part of Vetroscope Pro (and the trial). A lifetime license on its own doesn’t include it. Fix: upgrade to Vetroscope Pro. If you just purchased, sign out of the dashboard and back in.
“Verify your email to see your dashboard”
Section titled ““Verify your email to see your dashboard””Cause: during a trial, the dashboard turns on once your email is verified. Fix: open the verification link in your inbox, or use Resend verification email, then reload the page. Pro accounts aren’t affected.
“Turn on Cloud Sync to see your dashboard”
Section titled ““Turn on Cloud Sync to see your dashboard””Cause: none of your computers syncs to Vetroscope Cloud. Home Sync on its own doesn’t power the dashboard. Fix: on your computer, open Settings → Sync → Add sync target and choose Vetroscope Cloud (see Vetroscope Cloud). The dashboard fills in after the first sync.
“Your dashboard is on its way”
Section titled ““Your dashboard is on its way””Cause: Vetroscope Cloud is on, but your computer hasn’t uploaded your dashboard yet. Fix: open Vetroscope on a computer with Cloud Sync turned on and leave it running. Your stats appear a few minutes after it syncs.
“That recovery code doesn’t match”
Section titled ““That recovery code doesn’t match””Cause: the code entered on Unlock your data isn’t your current encryption key. Fix: check it against your password manager, or view it on a computer that already syncs (Settings → Sync). See Your encryption key.
“Waiting for a fresh sync”
Section titled ““Waiting for a fresh sync””Cause: your encryption key changed, so the dashboard’s copy can’t be read with the new key yet. Fix: open Vetroscope on a computer and let it sync. The dashboard updates right after.
Numbers look behind the app
Section titled “Numbers look behind the app”Cause: the computer you’re using hasn’t synced recently — it’s asleep, offline, or Vetroscope isn’t running. Fix: open Vetroscope on that computer. The account menu shows Dashboard updated and which computer the update came from. See how fresh the numbers are.
A change you made hasn’t applied
Section titled “A change you made hasn’t applied”Cause: tags, goals, ignore lists, and customized apps are applied by a computer running Vetroscope, and none is open. Fix: open Vetroscope on any of your computers. Waiting changes are listed in Alerts until they’ve been applied.
The Calendar or Timeline shows a time zone notice
Section titled “The Calendar or Timeline shows a time zone notice”Cause: this browser is set to a different time zone from the computer that tracked your days. Fix: open the page in the computer’s time zone. Home and Charts work in any time zone.
“Update Vetroscope on [computer] to see this here”
Section titled ““Update Vetroscope on [computer] to see this here””Cause: this part of the dashboard needs a newer version of the app than that computer runs. Fix: on that computer, Settings → About → Check for Updates.
“Couldn’t load your dashboard”
Section titled ““Couldn’t load your dashboard””Cause: usually a temporary connection problem. Fix: reload the page. If it keeps happening, report a bug with the message shown.
