Devices and two-factor authentication

Connected devices

Section titled “Connected devices”

Settings → Account → Connected devices lists every computer signed in to your account, with a laptop or desktop icon, an Apple or Windows logo, and when it last synced. Remove any you no longer use — a sold laptop, a reinstalled computer — and it loses access straight away (Confirm unlink). Vetroscope Cloud allows up to 5 computers; removing one frees up a space.

Removing a computer doesn’t delete anything: its data stays on that computer, and your synced data stays in your account. Browsers signed in to the web dashboard don’t appear here and don’t count toward the five.

To sign out everywhere at once — including web dashboard browsers — use Sign out all devices under Signed in devices on your account page.

Two-factor authentication

2FA adds an authenticator-app code to sign-in, so a stolen password alone isn’t enough.

Enabling

  1. Settings → Account → Enable two-factor authentication.
  2. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (1Password, Authy, Google Authenticator — anything standard).
  3. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm.
  4. Save the recovery codes — use Copy all and store them with your passwords. Each works once if you lose the authenticator.

Signing in with 2FA

After your password — or after Continue with Google — you’ll be asked for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. Check Don’t ask for a code on this computer for 30 days on a computer you trust; you’ll still need your password or Google sign-in.

Lost your authenticator app? Choose Use a recovery code and enter one of your saved codes (each works once) — then turn 2FA off and on again to set up a new authenticator app.

Resetting a forgotten password also asks for your authenticator code or a recovery code, and two-factor authentication stays on afterward.
