Reports
Reports summarize a period with a formatted document you can export as a PDF, or data you can export as a CSV for spreadsheets and analysis. Open the generator with the Report button in the Home header — it runs in its own window.
Building a report
Section titled “Building a report”- Pick the period with the date picker — a single day or any range.
- The report generates as a scrolling document with a cover and sections.
- Adjust what’s included from the editor panel, including filtering by tag.
What’s inside
Section titled “What’s inside”- Cover — the period, total Time logged, and an hour-of-day chart showing the shape of the time. Single days get a focused one-day layout; ranges get a multi-day overview.
- Apps — where the time went, with breakdowns.
- Tags — the same time cut by project or client.
- Hours — when you work, across the period.
- Music and Devices — listening while working, and (with sync) the split across your machines.
Exporting PDF and CSV
Section titled “Exporting PDF and CSV”Both formats are available in the report editor panel’s Export section. Set the period and adjust the report before exporting.
- Export PDF — saves the formatted report, including its charts and selected pages, as a document ready to share or print.
- Export CSV — saves the report data for a spreadsheet, invoicing, or your own analysis. Choose Summary for totals grouped by app and project or breakdown, or Full for session details with start and end times, apps, breakdowns, tags, and durations. Then click Export CSV.
CSV uses the report’s selected period, hour and weekday filters, and tag selection for a tag-focused report. It also respects which apps are included in the report, so adjust these settings before saving either format.
Both export buttons open a save dialog where you choose the filename and location.
