Install Vetroscope

Vetroscope runs on macOS and Windows. Download the latest version from vetroscope.com.

  1. Download the Vetroscope-Setup-arm64.dmg for Apple Silicon or Vetroscope-Setup-x64.dmg for Intel based Macs from the download page.
  2. Run the setup wizard and install Vetroscope.
  3. Launch Vetroscope from the magnifying glass icon in the menu bar, it should open automatically after install.

On first run, macOS asks you to grant Accessibility access. Vetroscope needs it to see which app is in front and read window titles.

Vetroscope should automatically prompt you with an action to take you to the settings. If for whatever reason that does not happen, do the following:

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
  2. Enable Vetroscope.

Without this permission, Vetroscope can’t record activity. If tracking ever stops after a macOS update, re-check this setting first. See Troubleshooting.

  1. Download the Vetroscope-Setup.exe from the download page.
  2. Run the setup wizard and install Vetroscope. If Windows smart screen flags the setup wizard as unsafe, click more info then run anyway.
  3. After install Vetroscope appears in your task bar / system tray and should open automatically.

Vetroscope checks for updates automatically. You can update from the banner that appears in the app, or from Settings → About → Check for Updates. Turn on Install updates automatically so Vetroscope remains up to date.

Continue with your first run to create an account and take the tour.
