Web dashboard
The web dashboard at app.vetroscope.com is an online version of the Vetroscope app. Open it in any browser — on another computer, a phone, or a tablet — to see the same numbers your desktop app shows, and to make changes to tags, goals, notes, events, and alerts from wherever you are.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- Vetroscope Pro, or a trial with a verified email. Licensed accounts without Pro see “Your account requires a Vetroscope Pro subscription”.
- Cloud Sync turned on on at least one of your computers. The dashboard shows what your computers sync to Vetroscope Cloud. Home Sync on its own doesn’t power the dashboard — your Home Sync server never talks to Vetroscope’s servers.
Browsers you use for the dashboard don’t count toward Vetroscope Cloud’s five-device limit, and they don’t appear in Connected devices.
Opening it
Section titled “Opening it”The quickest way is from the app: Settings → Account → Web Dashboard. The dashboard opens in your browser already signed in, and your computer syncs right away so the dashboard starts from fresh numbers.
You can also go to app.vetroscope.com directly and sign in with your email and password or Continue with Google. If you use two-factor authentication, enter your authenticator code; check Don’t ask for a code in this browser for 30 days on a browser you trust.
Accounts with end-to-end encryption
Section titled “Accounts with end-to-end encryption”If your sync uses end-to-end encryption, the dashboard asks you to Unlock your data with your recovery code (the encryption key). Your data is decrypted in the browser, and the code never leaves the page. Check Remember on this browser to skip this step next time. Signing out forgets it.
With the default sign-in recovery, there’s no extra step — signing in is enough.
What’s on it
Section titled “What’s on it”The navigation down the side (or along the bottom on a phone) matches the app:
- Home — Overview and Activity, with the same period, tag, and device filters as the app, plus Now Playing, your goals, and Charts with Day, Week, Month, and Year charts by app, tag, or category. Apps in use right now are highlighted, with the computer they’re on.
- Calendar and Timeline — full-window, like the app’s own windows.
- Tags — all your tags, including ones nested inside others. Create, edit, archive, restore, and set up auto-tagging.
- Events, Notes, and Alerts — create, edit, and delete them.
- Reports — build a report and save it as a PDF or CSV.
- Settings — your Ignored lists, Customized apps, and Categories.
Click an app, tag, category, or goal to open its stats. Right-click an app or breakdown (long-press on a touch screen) to tag, ignore, or customize it.
The account menu in the corner lists your computers — whether each one is Active now, Idle, or when it was last active — and when the dashboard was last updated. The System, Light, and Dark theme switch is there too.
On phones and tablets
Section titled “On phones and tablets”The dashboard works on small screens. Swipe a chart left or right to move between periods, long-press for the menus you’d right-click on a computer, and use the compact Calendar.
Next: how the dashboard connects to your computers — worth reading once, since it explains most of what you’ll notice.
