Ignoring apps and sites

Anything you add to an ignore list — an app, a breakdown, or a keyword — is never recorded by Vetroscope.

The four ignore lists

Settings → Ignored has four ignore lists:

  • Ignored Apps — Ignores the whole app.
  • Ignored Breakdowns — Specific project files or websites get ignored.
  • Ignored Keywords & File Extensions — Any breakdown whose name matches a specific keyword or file extension.
  • Ignored Sub-breakdowns — Ignores specific media like individual songs or YouTube videos.

Adding and removing from the ignore lists

The fastest way is to right-click an app or breakdown wherever it appears (Home, the Calendar sidebar, the Timeline) and choose Ignore. Manage the full lists in Settings → Ignored, where you can remove anything you’ve added.

Removing something from a list starts tracking it again from that moment on. Time that passed while it was ignored was never recorded and can’t be recovered.

Browser sites without the desktop list

The browser extension has its own Ignored sites list by hostname. Useful when you want a site skipped at the source, before it ever reaches the app. Sites on that list cover their subdomains too.
